I offer holistic therapies from my home-based therapy room or can provide a mobile service in your own home for an additional £5 per treatment. Initial appointments always take slightly longer than further treatments as I carry out a detailed consultation to determine your needs.
Currently I am offering:
Aromatherapy - £25 per treatment including full consultation. Please allow two hours for the first session and around one and a half hours for subsequent sessions.
Aromatherapy is the practice of using volatile plant oils to assist physical and psychological well-being. Essential oils are considered to be the pure essence of the plant, containing both the medicinal properties and "life force" found within it. Used correctly, many benefits can be obtained from their use. The essential oils are usually applied to the skin via massage or some other means (though this is not the only method) and are thought to enter the bloodstream via absorption through the skin. Benefits are also obtained from the inhalation of the aroma which creates subtle effects upon the emotional and psychological state.
Reflexology - £20 per treatment including footbath and full consultation. Please allow two hours for your first session and one and half hours for future treatments.
Reflexology is based on the premise that there are reflex points in the hands and feet that correspond to the structures of the body. The therapist utilises a variety of techniques to detect imbalaces in these reflex points and to promote balance.
Holistic Massage Therapy - £22 per treatment including full consultation. Please allow two hours for initial treatment and around one and a half hours for future treatments.
During my two years training as a complementary therapist I have gained skills in a variety of bodywork techniques and energy therapies. This treatment draws these together and is always completely tailored to your needs and will reflect what you tell me in the consultation and what I come across as I work. Indian Head Massage - £15 per treatment. Please allow one and a half hours for intital treatment and around one hour for future treatments.
Indian head massage is based on a traditional Indian practice. It takes place with the client in a seated position and massage is carried out to the upper body (back, arms, shoulders, neck, scalp and face). Aromatic oils are ofte used for the scalp massage. These might include coconut or jasmine oil and are selected based on skin type and individual needs of the client.
In addition to the therapies listed I am able to offer hand-made aromatherapy products designed to be perfect for your needs. These are made individually using ingredients selected just for you following a full consultation. Priced according to ingredients.
